Dear Reader,

Throughout my life, two things have become clear. The first is that I cannot stop myself from writing; it is an integral practice to my life, as necessary as a deep breath or that first cup of morning coffee. The second is that, over and over, I have been blessed by the stories of other people who, by sharing, have helped me feel less alone in this world.

This sharing comes in many forms: the words of authors like Cheryl Strayed, Ann Voskamp, Lena Dunham, and Anne Lamott; quiet talks in living rooms between friends; articles like this one I’ve stumbled upon at just the right moment.

I have been blessed by the stories of other people who, by sharing, have helped me feel less alone in this world.

Thus I am convinced that sharing my own stories through writing is something I am called to do by faith, because I have personally experienced the saving nature of such vulnerability. My hope is that you may find something in these newsletters that offer you encouragement, compassion, and the reminder that you are not alone.

Here’s what you’ll find in this newsletter:

1. A short thought on those things which can bring up some of life’s most pressing feelings, from marriage/dating to career, social media, mental health, and more…

2. …followed by a short prayer.

Here, you’ll find words for real humans with big feelings. If that’s you (cause it’s certainly me!), I hope you’ll follow along:
